Welcome to the very first edition of the Little Sunny Kitchen newsletter! I’m so excited you’re here. Every now and then, I’ll be sending you a peek into what’s cooking in my kitchen - tested recipes, new blog posts, behind-the-scenes updates, and a few personal notes, too.
The sun is shining in London this week, and I’ve been making the most of it with long afternoon walks. On Sunday, we went to Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park - and if you live nearby, please go. It was magical. Flowering azaleas everywhere, soft petals on the ground, the kind of place that makes you forget about your phone completely.


Back in the kitchen, I’ve been leaning into cozy baking…
What I’m Currently Loving: Date Nut Bread
Moist, lightly spiced, and just sweet enough - this Date Nut Bread is the cozy loaf I’ve been craving lately. I bake it in a loaf pan, slice it thick, and serve it with soft butter or cream cheese. You can even toast it for breakfast (yes, it’s that good).
What I’m testing right now:
The perfect panna cotta (still debating the topping - berries? chocolate? something crunchy?)
Classic chocolate mousse (light, silky, and rich)
A caponata that hits all the right notes! Bright, savory, and balanced.
Let’s just say the dishwasher is getting a workout!

I’m so excited to share my Flourless Chocolate Cake with you this week. I baked it for my husband’s birthday, and it was a hit. He can’t have gluten, so this rich, fudgy cake was perfect - and honestly, I didn’t miss the flour one bit.
